Village of Chicago Ridge issued the following announcement on Dec. 4.
As with most everything during 2020, Santa has had to change his plans for this year’s Operation Santa Clause. He will be missing all of you, as he will not be able to bring treats to your door as he has in so many years past. However, we were able to talk him into a quick visit, so he will be here sitting atop a Chicago Ridge Fire Truck, waving to all who want to drive by. In order for him to agree to stop by, we offered to light up the Village Hall as never before! So, for all the kids and their grown-ups, Santa agreed and will be here at the Village Hall on Sunday, December 13th from 5pm to 7pm. Please remain in your vehicle, enjoy the lights and remember to wave when you see Santa!
Parents/Guardians: This will be a completely “no contact” event, you must be in a vehicle to enter the area and unfortunately, due to health concerns, no treats will be handed out.
