Village of Palos Park Board of Trustees met Oct. 29

A quorum was met for the October 29, 2020 special meeting of the Palos Park Library Board.Present: Mary Lou Bareither, Michael Tannura, Kathy Finan, and Kathy Branigan. Also present:Kathryn Sofianos.
Call to Order
Mary Lou Bareither called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.
Public Comments
There were no public comments.
Trustee Interviews and RecommendationsThe Trustees continued candidate interviews for two vacancies on the Board of LibraryTrustees. Introductory questions for candidates were led by the President of the Board. Topicsfor questions included reasons for serving on the Board, previous volunteer experiences, areasof particular expertise and special qualifications, and views of the role of the library in thecommunity. The Board interviewed Gurp Ahluwalia. Jennifer Gallagher, who was to beinterviewed, will be rescheduled to a future date.
Adjournment
Kathy Branigan made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 pm. Mary Lou Bareither seconded.Motion carried unanimously.
