Village of Chicago Ridge issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.
By now residents should have received a letter from Flood Brothers as well as 3 new garbage cans that were delivered this past week.
The last pick-up for Waste Mgmt. will be the week of December 28th.
The 1st Flood Brothers pick-up will begin the week of January 4th. Your service day will remain the same and recycling pickup will now be every week.
Now, what to do with your old cans. On Monday January 4th, ALL residents should place their EMPTY blue and gray Waste Mgmt. cans in the normal garbage pick-up location for removal by Waste Mgmt. The collection process may take a couple of days so please be patient. The Green recycling can is yours to keep and use as an extra recycling can. If you do not want it please call the Village Hall or text your address to 708-270-3231 and put the can out on January 7th. It will be picked up by Public Works on either the 7th, 8th or 9th. As a reminder please do not place waste in these cans.
If you have not received new cans or the letter from Flood Brothers please contact the Village Hall to leave your name and address.
Lastly, the Village Hall will close at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 23, and will also be closed on: December 24th, December 25th, December 26th, December 31st and January 1st in observance of the Christmas and New Year holidays. The Village Hall will be open on Saturday January 2nd. For your convenience there is a night deposit in the front of the building to drop off any payments or please visit our website at www.chicagoridge.org for online payments.
On behalf of myself and my family, our Village Clerk and the Board of Trustees we would like to wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Safe, Happy and Healthy New Year.
