Village of South Chicago Heights Committee of the Whole Met Dec. 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

A Committee of the Whole meeting was held at the Village Hall, 3317 Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights, Minois. Mayor Terry Matthews called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Mayor Matthews requested the Village Clerk, Catherine Linan, to call the roll. The following were present

Mark Martin was absent. 

DISCUSSION - OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2021 OPERATING BUDGET - Mayor Matthews asked Finance Director John Dolasinski to explain. Finance Director John Dolasinski summarized the 2021 operation budget. Finance Director Dolasinski explained the timeline for the appropriation Public Hearing and adoption of the ordinance. He covered some of the key account funds along with the revenues and expenditures as it relates to Covid-19. John stated that the appropriation ordinance is based on the budget and stated that the pandemic will still effect this budget. He stated that public hearing required by law will be held on December 21, 2020 at 6:45 pm prior to the next Village Board of Trustee meeting. Mayor Matthews asked the Village Board for any comments or any concerns that they may have. Trustee Ross had a question on the spending and commitment of the TIF funds. With there being no discussion Mayor Matthews stated that the budget and appropriation ordinance will be on the December 21st meeting agenda for a vote.

With nothing further to discuss, Trustee Bosco motioned to adjourn the Committee of the Whole meeting, seconded by Trustee Fazzini. On a voice vote, all ayes, no nays; the motion so ordered. Meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
