The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce provided details about its new Hopin online platform to help users register and attend its online events.
Hopin is an online networking and connections platform that attendees can use to attend events remotely, join group discussions and send instant messages, the organization said in a release. Users can also link it to their LinkedIn account for long-term connections.
To get started, users will need to register for a chamber event. Afterward, they will receive an email confirmation and invitation and instructions on creating a profile on the Hopin platform.
Users logged in to a chamber event will start in the platform's Reception area, which has details about the event and a schedule.
Users are free to use the platform to navigate different areas of the event when they are logged in. Main areas include reception, the main stage for keynote speakers, a group discussion area, a networking area, and separate areas for more private events or exhibitions.
Technical assistance is available for those who need it by emailing events@chicagolandchamber.org.
