Village of Chicago Ridge issued the following announcement on Jan. 25.
Cook County is currently in Phase 1b of the State of Illinois Vaccination Plan. This means more people will be able to get vaccinated. People who are eligible under this phase include: 1) residents age 65 and older; 2) Essential workers such as first responders, teachers and school staff, corrections, grocery, and public transit workers. For a complete list of those eligible in Phase 1b click here.
We are excited to share the following resources as we move into this new phase:
- Cook County is launching a new website to help schedule appointments, click here. This site will allow people to schedule a vaccination if appointments are available. This process is expected to take several weeks, we ask for patience from all residents. Appointments will become available as we receive vaccine supply. We have no control over the vaccine supply that we receive.
- A new vaccination appointment hotline has been created for residents who lack Internet access, are not comfortable with technology or prefer to call. That number is 1-833-308-1988 and will be open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Mass Vaccination sites coming soon. A mass vaccination site at the Tinley Park Convention Center is scheduled to open on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. Vaccinations will be available by appointment only. To schedule an appointment click here. Other sites throughout the county are expected to open about one per week for the next five or six weeks.
