The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce will offer an opportunity for Chicago companies to invest in their employees for half the cost.
Businesses can use the Chicagoland Chamber Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP) to provide workers with the skills needed to thrive and help their companies grow.
Investing in employees and promoting a work culture of improvement can provide an edge for businesses as the nation comes out of the COVID-19 pandemic and moves toward economic recovery.
Employers participating in the ETIP may be eligible for reimbursement up to 50% of the cost of retraining or upskilling their full-time employees.
Speakers for the program include Julio Rodriguez, Deputy Director of the Illinois Office of Employment and Training, Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO), Pedro Cevallos-Candau, vice president of the Institute for Workforce Education; and Francene Pelmon, founder and principal consultant, BIS Consultants LLC.
Funding for ETIP comes from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
