II. Approval of Minutes - M. DeCaprio Sunta motioned to approve May minutes and L. Schiappa seconded. Motion carried.

III. Old Business

A. Holiday Lights - The 3-year contract from Artistic Holiday Designs was approved by Buildings & Grounds and City Council. The installation of the lights/and holiday sculptures will take place the week of Dec. 19th. The light display will run from Friday, November 26 - January 7, 2022. Public Arts would like to formally thank the Beautification Committee for their financial support in the amount of $4000. Public Arts has approved $5000 from their budget for the projects and the City has allocated $5000 as well. Vanessa will design a poster to be displayed around the city. Additional publicity efforts will be posts on the City website, Recreation on-line booklet, CSVB website and Channel 4.

Lynda is going to call the VFW, Dough Boys and Lions club to see if any of those groups might like to sell warm beverages for Friday and Saturday evenings for the light display. If we can secure a source, we will order Campfire ceramic mugs with the PAC logo.

B. Reflections Print Piece - A large size postcard will be created featuring two photos of the referenced mural and the butterfly sculpture at Community Park. 500 pieces will be printed to be used as a “take away” to promote Public Arts in the city. Maria will do the photography.

C. Approval of Bills - Lynda Schiappa motioned to pay Artistic Holiday Design $5000 for this year’s light display. Vanessa Sunta seconded and motion carried.

D. New Business

A. Art Garden Memorial Plaque - Beautification Committee has placed a memorial plaque on a rock in memory of Ed Dombrowski in the garden. Due to the construction, PAC will determine the best location once the garden plantings are replaced.

IV. Miscellaneous

A. Children’s Sculpture Garden - Maria visited the children’s area at Lake Katherine that currently features a concrete school arch. There is plenty of space to do an installation of panels to depict a children’s storybook. Several books were considered, however, Lynda suggested that one of Jean Knap’s (former and late Alderman) be selected to honor her and make the connection to the city. We will contact LK to discuss the idea and research artists to do the panels. This will be a 2022 project but materials will be purchased this year so the project can be worked on over the winter.

VI. Public Comment - None.

VI. Adjournment: 8:40 p.m.
