Report: Lansing School District spent $11,881 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Lansing School District 158 was up 18.6 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $10,015 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,881 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 2,506 to 2,700 students over the same period.

Lansing's spending in 2019-20 was 18 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
