Report: Argo School District spent $18,668 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Argo Community High School District 217 was up 4.7 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $17,833 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,668 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,816 to 1,934 students over the same period.

Argo's spending in 2019-20 was 28.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
