Report: Hoover Schrum Memorial School District spent $14,427 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Hoover Schrum Memorial School District 157 was up 17.7 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $12,262 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,427 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 952 to 858 students over the same period.

Hoover Schrum Memorial's spending in 2019-20 was 0.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
