Report: Alsip, Hazelgreen, Oak Lawn School District spent $12,514 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Alsip, Hazelgreen, Oak Lawn School District 126 was up 7 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $11,699 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,514 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,583 to 1,599 students over the same period.

Alsip, Hazelgreen, Oak Lawn's spending in 2019-20 was 13.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
