Report: Prairie-Hills School District spent $12,087 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Prairie-Hills Elementary School District 144 was down 0.5 percent from five years ago, according to the South Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $12,151 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,087 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 2,563 to 2,869 students over the same period.

Prairie-Hills's spending in 2019-20 was 16.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
