With the match tied at 23, Lawrence Tech earned a kill to set up match point. An attack error tied the score at 24, and Costa came up with back-to-back kills to force a fifth set.
In the final set, Lawrence Tech again had match point at 14-13 but a kill from sophomore Mike Hay tied things up at 14. It was Costa again flying in for two more kills, and the Trolls won the match, 16-14.
