Sheehan for 19th Senate has issued the following press release:

Lockport— The State Board of Elections recently notified Patrick Sheehan’s campaign that he will remain on the ballot for the 2022 Election. The objection of signatures by Mike Hastings’s underlings were nowhere near close enough to have Sheehan removed from the ballot, and in typical fashion, Hastings tried to use the bullying strategy employed by Democrats for decades.

However, the time, effort, and money spent by Mike Hastings did nothing but further justify the need for representation that puts people above politics.

My supporters and I worked very hard going door to door to collect over 1,200 signatures, in the cold, snow, rain, and every other season Illinois goes through January to March,” stated Patrick Sheehan.

“I want to thank my family, friends, supporters, and especially my wife, for going through this grueling process; but this is just the beginning,” he continued.

Candidates for State Senate were required to collect and submit 650 signatures. The signatures must be collected from registered voters living in the Senate District that the candidate is wishing to run for office.

The 19th State Senate District includes portions of Homer Glen, Tinley Park, Mokena, Frankfort, New Lenox, and Orland Hills.
