City of Oak Forest Veterans Commission met April 21.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

5. OLD BUSINESS:

 Banners program honoring our (Oak Forest) Hometown Heroes is up and running. We have 80 plus requests. Discussion with Communication Director on tracking banners. April 4th was deadline to have request submitted.

 Flag receptacle REALLY needs cleaning out.

 Paul and Joe will continue to talk with Tom Ceska about painting base of Nike Missile.

6. NEW BUSINESS:

 This week in History: Doolittle raid on April 18, 1942, B-25 aircraft led by Lt. Col James L. Doolittle launched from the aircraft carrier USS Hornet to conduct an air raid on Tokyo.
