The pro-LGBT conservative organization Log Cabin Republicans (LCR) recently announced that they are endorsing Keith Pekau, the mayor of Orland Park, in his Congressional race, according to a release.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Log Cabin Republicans," Pekau said in response. "They represent an important part of the American family. They have worked tirelessly for common sense leadership and policies, including opposing Joe Biden’s attempts - at the behest of the far-Left - to trample over the rights of states and parents. I embrace all taxpaying, hard working people who believe in the American principles of liberty and equality, and look forward to representing all the people of IL-06 in Congress.”

Pekau won the Republican nomination for Illinois' 6th Congressional House seat in June and will face off against incumbent Democrat Sean Casten in the November general election, according to Ballotpedia.
