Pekau for Congress has issued the following press release:

This morning, Keith Pekau’s campaign for Congress in Illinois’ 6th District will release a new ad titled Service Over Self. The ad features 6th District residents, including local military veterans and independent business owners. The piece highlights Pekau’s record of service to his country and to the community in which he grew up, raised his family and now serves as mayor: Orland Park.

Pekau’s record of service is a critical consideration for voters in 2022, as it represents a sharp contrast to Rep. Sean Casten’s record of self-dealing. Most recently, The Washington Free Beacon reported that Sean Casten’s latest financial disclosure shows he holds up to $500,000 in a green energy company that will likely benefit from Green Energy spending in the Don’t Say Inflation bill he hyped and helped push through in Congress. This was only the latest in a string of self-serving actions that benefit him, his political allies and the special interests who fund his campaigns. In 2008, he secured $8 million in taxpayer-funded subsidies for his family’s company from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
