The Tinley Park Village Board hosted a meeting where they added four locals into leadership positions for the village.
“Thank you to the men and women of the board, Mr. President, and the administrative team for this opportunity,” newly appointed human resources generalist Firlit said during the meeting. “I’m really looking forward to it and get going.”
The village’s Angela Arrigo serves as the director for Tinley’s human resources.
Firlit was also appointed to the Human resources department, as a generalist. She has almost 20 years in governmental human resources and served for 10 years in the Air Force’s personnel department. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and experience in all areas of Human resources including employee benefits, payroll, training, recruitment, and workers’ compensation.
The village board will meet again at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the Village Hall on 16250 South Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park.
Amanda Schreck was appointed to the position of human resources coordinator by the village board. She has worked in municipal government since 2001 in various customer service and administrative roles. She has a Bachelor of Music Education and a Certified Administrative Professional certification. Amanda thanked the board for the opportunity and said she looked forward to working with everyone.
Village manager Patrick Carr, Assistant Village Manager Hannah Lipman and Village Attorney Paul O’Grady were absent during the evening Sept. 6 meeting for the new folks’ appointments.
For the position of building inspector, Richard Czajkowski was appointed. He has previously served as a building inspector and has 30 years of experience in the fire service. He has also worked in construction project management, electrical contracting, fire safety, and life safety management. For the position of maintenance technician, Mark Reid was appointed. Reid has worked in public works since 2018 and holds a CDL and a welding certificate.
