Trolls earn shutout win over Holy Cross

Two goals in a four-minute span was enough to send Trinity to their third straight victory, as the Trolls took a 3-0 CCAC win over Holy Cross on Saturday.

Selah Hopkins retained her lead in the conference scoring race, with her 11th goal of the year in the 33rd minute to put the Trolls (6-3-4, 5-1-2 CCAC) in front 1-0. Just over four minutes later, reigning CCAC Player of the Year Brianna Uhl put away her third goal this season, doubling her team's lead.

The Trolls added to their lead again in the second half, when Demi Scibetta scored in the 63rd minute. Goalkeeper Michelle Urribarri picked up her fifth shutout of the year, making two saves in the win.

Trinity now has a full week to prepare for their next matchup, when they head to Joliet and take on St. Francis. Kickoff from Joliet Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 15 is set for 1:00 p.m.
