With a top-ten finish at last weekend's University of Evansville Invitational, senior Zac Maher was named the CCAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Maher recorded the team's fastest time of the season, finishing the 8-kilometer race in 26:59 to finish 10th overall. The Oak Forest, Ill. native placed second among NAIA runners, as the Trolls competed among NCAA Division I and Division II programs.
Maher earns his first career CCAC Athlete of the Week award in cross country, and is Trinity's first recipient since Andrew Reidsma in 2012.
Next up for the Trolls is the 2022 CCAC Men's Cross Country Championships, held at Channahon Community Park in Channahon, Ill. on Saturday, November 5.
