Moraine Valley to host open house for prospective students

Anyone interested in becoming a student at Moraine Valley Community College is invited to attend an open house on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m. to noon., in Building M on the college’s campus at 9000 W. College Parkway in Palos Hills.

“We’ll give a presentation about the college and the many student support services we offer. We’ll also provide information about tuition, the admission process and financial aid,” said Andy Sarata, director of Admissions and Recruitment. “Potential students can take a tour of the campus, meet faculty from our academic and career programs, hear from current students during the student panel and ask any questions they have.”

Attendees also will learn about how Moraine Valley can help students save thousands of dollars in college tuition by completing the first two years of their bachelor’s degree at the college before transferring to a four-year institution. In addition, information on the Early College Program, which allows high school students to earn college credit while still in high school, will be available.

There will be an admissions and financial aid presentation in Spanish at 9:30 a.m.

“We offer a high-quality, affordable education, and we are excited to share all the wonderful benefits of starting college at Moraine Valley during our upcoming open house,” Sarata added.
