City of Oak Forest Fire & Police Commission met Jan. 17.
Here are the minutes provided by the commission:
1. Roll Call-Taken at 5: 00 pm. Present were Commissioners Beatty, Gericke and Blatchford. Also present were Deputy Fire Chief Griffin and Police Chief Reid.
2. Approval of Minutes- Meeting Minutes from meeting 12- 7- 22 submitted for review and approval. Motion Commissioner Blatchford to accept, seconded by Commissioner Gericke. All were in favor, motion passed.
3. Correspondence- Received contracts from testing company Cops and Fire for upcoming Police Entry and Lateral positions. Motion Commissioner Blatchford to accept and sign, seconded by Commissioner Gericke. All were in favor, motion passed.
4. Old Business- None
5. Discussion of Fire Dept. Captains Test- Deputy Chief Griffin reviewed final details on Captains test and announcement letter. After reviewing information, Commissioner Blatchford motion to proceed with testing, seconded Commission Gericke. All were in favor, motion passed.
6. Lateral Police Officer Test- Orientation presented by the Commissioners and Police Chief Reid, followed by testing with Cops and Fire.
7. New Business- None
8. Citizen Participation-None
9. Adjournment- Motion Commissioner Blatchford to adjourn, seconded Commissioner Gericke. All were in favor, motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 5: 45 PM.
