March 7, 2023 - In a recent tweet, Sean Casten doubled down on his call for more politicians in Washington DC.
Keith Pekau, Mayor of Orland Park and former candidate for Congress responded saying:
“You can’t make it up. Sean Casten represents the worst of his party. He is divisive, elitist, hypocritical and self-serving. He advocates the dismantlement of timeworn American institutions because they are not benefitting him and the people who keep him in power. It comes as no surprise. This is a guy who secured $8 million in taxpayer-funded subsidies for his family’s company from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Then, as a Congressman, pushed for similar special deals to benefit his own company and the special interests who fund Democrat campaigns.
“Now, with all the problems Americans are facing as a result of the greed, extremism and incompetence of Casten’s own party, he proclaims that everything would be better with more politicians in Washington? Give me a break. He couldn’t be further out of touch with the people he purports to represent.”
