State Rep. Thaddeus Jones (D-Calumet City) | Edgar County Watchdogs
Illinois State Representative and Mayor of Calumet City, Thaddeus Jones, posted a message yesterday stating that Thornton Township Supervisor (and Mayor of Dolton) Tiffany Henyard was stealing money from the township, that the trustees were not stopping it (as they should be), and Jones called on all state officials of Illinois to stop sending public funds to Thornton Township.
“Tiffany Henyard is stealing money from the township and not one trustee is saying anything to defend taxpayers! I’m calling on all state officials to stop sending funds to the township until Tiffany Henyard is defeated! She’s ruined everything that Frank Zuccarelli worked for. From this day forward, I am declaring that it’s time to get rid of Henyard in Dolton and as the appointed; not elected Supervisor!“
We have been aware of this “alleged” theft for months, have requested credit card statements and receipts which were never provided, and have filed several lawsuits to obtain those public records from both the township and the village of Dolton.
- Henyard has used township funds and property to prop up and fund her “nonprofit” – estimates are now approaching $100,000
- Henyard used road district funds to purchase two fully equipment police SUVs, only to have the Sec of State confiscate the illegal police license plates she put on them
- Henyard used township funds on a 10-day “walk” to Springfield for her “nonprofit” costing tens of thousands of dollars
- Henyard used township funds for electioneering, including with a sitting Cook County Judge
- Henyard used township funds to give away flat screen TVs and for more electioneering
- Township Trustees are failing miserably in their fiduciary duty role to protect the taxpayers
More on Henyard in future articles.
