City of Oak Forest Veterans Commission met March 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

5. OLD BUSINESS:

• Flag receptacle is full again. Need to plan an empting out day when warmer. • Are we in process of having concert at Gazebo or the old Oak-Fest grounds on July 4th. • One of our members could use a little yard clean-up assistance. We will assist in cleaning things up for him on warmer date.

• Chrissy has requested Veterans commission use the current TV monitor in vestibule for veterans pictures and information.

• FLEADH is Saturday March 4. PW director Mike Salamowicz let the Veterans commission ride in his 5-ton military truck.

• Operation Gratitude, says thank you to all who served which include Veterans, active duty, first Responders. We could donate or help in some way.

6. NEW BUSINESS:

• Chrissy Maher, Communications Director, has requested a new TV for city hall use and the Veterans Commission will be able to use the existing TV for pictures and information.
