The Campaign Management Workshop for Pro-Life and Center-Right Campaigns is a training program designed to equip individuals with the skills needed to manage or contribute to a winning campaign. The workshop emphasizes the development of campaign, communications, and voter contact plans, and aims to empower attendees to effectively advocate for their causes. Questions on the workshop can be directed to the Program Director, Dena Espenscheid.
"You owe it to your philosophy to learn how to win," Founder of the Leadership Institute, Morton Blackwell, encapsulated the essence of the workshop.
With a focus on practical strategies, the program equips participants with the tools necessary to achieve success in the political arena. During the workshop, attendees will gain valuable insights into various aspects of running a successful campaign. Key topics covered include developing a campaign strategy, building a robust campaign structure and organization, crafting compelling campaign messaging, conducting thorough research on districts, constituents, and opponents, as well as implementing effective voter outreach and get-out-the-vote strategies. The workshop also offers on-demand content, providing additional resources and support to those enrolled in the program to ensure attendees have a comprehensive understanding of campaign management. Parents, pro-life activists, and supporters of center-right policies are particularly encouraged to attend and discover effective campaign strategies.
A sample agenda notes attendees will engage in sessions led by industry experts such as Robert Arnakis and Chris Godbey from the Leadership Institute. The topics include strategic research, developing a campaign plan, campaign strategy, volunteer recruitment, and management, building coalitions, vote goals, voter identification and targeting, and voter contact planning. Attendees are also planned to engage in discussions on understanding voter behavior, building a communications plan, message development, public relations, fundraising strategies, financial planning, and budgeting, as well as getting out the vote (GOTV) strategies.
The Leadership Institute, founded in 1979 by Blackwell, is dedicated to training conservatives in various aspects of politics, government, and media. With over 250,000 activists, leaders, and students trained since its inception, the Institute aims to increase the number and effectiveness of conservative participants in the public policy process by providing education and resources, including a vast network of conservative campus groups and newspapers. The Leadership Institute also actively supports the conservative movement by freely sharing its student and campus group lists with other conservative organizations, fostering a nationwide network of conservative activists.
