Niki Conforti, a GOP candidate for the 6th Congressional District, has raised concerns about the United States losing its allies, emphasizing the need for a stronger American presence on the global stage. Her remarks come as the United Arab Emirates diverges from U.S. foreign policy by strengthening ties with Russia and China, reflecting the changing dynamics of international relations and the growing influence of regional players.
“America is losing its allies!” Conforti said on Facebook. “This would not be happening if the USA had a strong presence on the world stage. The sad fact is - we no longer do. We need a major change at the top that gives us a strong leader who puts the American people first!! America is losing its allies!"
The United Arab Emirates (UAE), led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, a key American ally, is increasingly diverging from U.S. foreign policy by forging closer ties with Russia and China. Despite the UAE’s reliance on American protection, its ruler’s visits to Russia, growing economic ties with China, and alignment with its own foreign policy goals showcase the nation’s move towards a more independent global stance, reflecting broader shifts in international dynamics and the rise of regional players.
Conforti ran in the 2022 election cycle for the 6th Congressional District but lost in the GOP primary.
