Village of Bridgeview Village Board met Sept. 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER Mayor Landek called the Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview to order at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

Absent: Trustee Higginson

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Police Commander Klichowski, Fire Chief Grzadziel, HR Director Pannaralla, and Building Director Struzik.

2023-M-98 APRROVE MINUTES OF AUGUST 16, 2023

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of August 16, 2023. 

Upon roll call, the vote was:

AYES: 4 - Trustees Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis

NAYES: 0 

ABSTAIN: 1 - Trustee Pinion

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Higginson

There being four affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2023-M-99 APPROVE MINUTES OF AUGUST 30, 2023

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve the minutes of the special Board Meeting of August 30, 2023.

Upon roll call, the vote was:

AYES: 4 - Trustees Pticek, Pinion, Baste, and Struzik NAYES: 0

ABSTAIN: 1- Trustee Lewis

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Higginson

There being four affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2023-M-100 APPOINTMENT OF REY CARDENAS

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve the appointment of Firefighter Rey Cardenas to the position of Fire Lieutenant of the Bridgeview Fire Department.

Upon roll call, the vote was:

AYES: 5 - Trustees Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Higginson

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2023-M-101 ORDINANCE NO. 23-16

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve Ordinance No. 23-16; an Ordinance changing Chapter 1, Article 7, Public Records, of the Municipal Code of Bridgeview pertaining to the Freedom of Information Act.

Upon roll call, the vote was:

AYES: 5 - Trustees Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Higginson

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2023-M-102 ORDINANCE NO. 23-17

Motion by Trustee Struzik and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve Ordinance No. 23-17; an Ordinance granting a special use to allow the operation of a Fleet Truck Tractor Repair and Maintenance Facility on the property located at 8400 South 77th Avenue, Bridgeview, Illinois.

Upon roll call, the vote was:

AYES: 5 - Trustees Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Higginson

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2023-M-103 ORDINANCE NO. 23-18

Motion by Trustee Struzik and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve Ordinance No. 23-18; an Ordinance approving a First Amendment Lease Agreement between the Village of Bridgeview and Sprint Com, LLC with respect to the property located at 7100 South Thomas Avenue, Bridgeview, Illinois.

Upon roll call, the vote was:

AYES: 5 - Trustees Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Higginson

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2023-M-104 VOLVO ASPHALT ROLLER

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve the purchase of a Volvo Asphalt Roller.

Upon roll call, the vote was:

AYES: 5 - Trustees Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Higginson

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2023-M-105 ADJOURN

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Pticek to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of September 6, 2023.

Upon roll call the vote was:

AYES: 5 - Trustees Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.

NAYES: 0

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Higginson

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

The meeting ended at 7:16 pm.
