In a move to distinguish himself as a candidate committed to change and accountability, Adam Beaty, the GOP candidate for House District 80 in Illinois, has proudly pledged support for term limits. Beaty took to Facebook to announce his commitment, emphasizing that one’s legacy is shaped not by the duration of holding a seat but by the tangible accomplishments achieved on behalf of the people.

“Proud to have made the pledge!” Beaty said on Facebook. “Your legacy is not made in how long you hold the seat, but rather in the accomplishments you achieve on behalf of the people!

“You want to see change? BE the change!”

This commitment to term limits reflects an ongoing national discourse about the necessity for accountability and fresh perspectives in government. It aligns with those advocating for changes in the political landscape and resonates with constituents seeking representatives who are dedicated to reform and transparency.

The organization known as Illinois Term Limits endorsed Beaty's pledge.

“Thank you Adam Beaty for State Representative for signing the #termlimits on Congress pledge,” Illinois Term Limits said on Facebook.

They also shared a link to a document titled "U.S. Term Limits Pledge" which was signed by Beaty.

“I, Adam M. Beaty, pledge that as a member of the state legislature I will cosponsor, vote for, and defend the resolution applying for an Article V convention for the sole purpose of enacting term limits on Congress,” the pledge reads.

Beaty currently serves as City Clerk for Braidwood and is also a trustee for Reed Township
