Matteson taxpayers ranked 71st in total sales taxes paid per municipality in March, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Matteson residents paid $958,639 in sales taxes during March.

Matteson ranked 80th in the Prairie State the month before, with $880,484 spent in sales taxes.

The Municipal Sales Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Matteson residents in March.
