In a Section 1983 lawsuit filed in the Northern District of Illinois, Dolton, Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard and several Dolton police officers (Hopson, Devries, and Harris) are accused of civil rights violations, which include First Amendment Retaliation, Fourth Amendment wrongful arrest, Fourth Amendment malicious prosecutions, Monell claims under the First and Fourth Amendments, State Malicious Prosecution, and Indemnification claims.

We urge each and every person whose civil or other rights were violated by this Mayor and Township Supervisor, her police department, or her private security force to contact an attorney and file similar lawsuits ASAP.

  • Henyard had Dolton police arrest a person for removing a (campaign?) flyer from her own vehicle’s windshield
  • Henyard had Dolton Police remove person from a public meeting because this person looked at Henyard
  • Henyard had Dolton Police remove person from another meeting because of a fake police report Henyard filed against her about the person daring to look at her at the previous meeting
  • Henyard generated police report from a meeting at Thornridge High School, because she was simply sitting in the audience
  • Other continued instances similar to the above
The Counts:

  • First Amendment Retaliation
  • Fourth Amendment False Arrest
  • Fourth Amendment Malicious Prosecution
  • Monell claims under the First and Fourth Amendments
