CRISIS INTERVENTION TEAM 

• Cases YTD – 45 

2024 FLOCK LPR CAMERA ACTIVITY 

• YTD - 16 hits 

• FLOCK activity includes citations, arrests, stolen vehicles and identification of vehicles used in other crimes. 

• Once fully operational, we will have a total of 9 LPR cameras.

OLD BUSINESS 

• Due to a chip shortage we are experiencing a delay on the installation of the FLOCK Condor Camera at Municipal parking lot. 

• The final License Plate Reader camera at E/B College Drive is due to be installed this month. IDOT has finally released permits for this project.

NEW BUSINESS 

• Presentation of department commendations to Detective/Sergeant Parnitzke & Detective William Moritz for their investigation & arrests of three suspects involved in a widespread mail theft ring. 

• We have an intern from Aurora University working with our CIT Division. 

• The Major Case Unit had two homicide callouts this month, Markham & Bridgeview. 

• The Task Force Officers have had numerous narcotics/currency/firearms seizures this month. We are also assisting the FBI on a Tittle III investigation. 

• 200-k in asset forfeiture funds were received from the Department of Treasury. Deputy Chief Yott completed a 7-week course at MIT Management Sloan School in Neuroscience for Business. 

• Axon Body Camera configuration and training has been completed. 

• Possible review of our Motorized Scooter Ordinance 72.075. 

CORRESPONDENCE/EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION 

• A resident dropped off some baked goods to show her appreciation for watching their house while they were on vacation. 

• Alderwoman Begley wrote an email commending the PHPD for the great work they did on the AT&T robbery. 

• Chief Czajkowski wanted to commend the men and women of our department and the Orland Park Police Department for assisting in the peaceful surrender of our AT&T robbery suspect. 

• Chief Czajkowski also wanted to commend Officers, Paluch, Weigand and Pomper for the apprehension of several burglary to motor vehicle suspects, driving a stolen Jeep, and in possession of a fully automatic Glock firearm with a loaded extended magazine.
