According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 644 students during the year. This equates to 22 percent of the 2,888 students enrolled.
Students were expelled for 12 incidents with violence that caused physical injury, 209 incidents with violence without physical injury, two incidents with alcohol and tobacco, 24 incidents with drugs, two incidents witha dangerous weapon firearm,six incidents with a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were eight. There were six incidents of violence without injury. For 10 incidents, students were suspended for one to two days.
Boy students received 388 suspensions, while 208 girls were suspended.
