Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met July 3

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, and Struzik. 

Roll Call indicated the following Trustees absent: Trustee Lewis. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Blood, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and HR Director Pannaralla. 

2024-M-71 APPROVE MINUTES OF JUNE 19, 2024

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of June 19, 2024. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 4 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, and Struzik. NAYES: 0 

ABSTAIN: 1- Trustee Baste. 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Lewis. 

There being four affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-72 APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF HEVER VALENZUELA MEJIA

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the appointment of part time police officer, Hever Valenzuela Mejia. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, and Struzik. NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Lewis. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-73 APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF NICHOLAS LIPINSKI

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the appointment of firefighter paramedic, Nicholas Lipinski, to the position of Fire Lieutenant. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, and Struzik.

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Lewis. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2024-M-74 APPROVE REVISED POLICY

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve the 

revised policy for reimbursing employee health insurance premium. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, and Struzik. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Lewis. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-75 APPROVE VERITY IT QUOTE #001851

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve Verity IT Quote #001851 for the renewal between the Village of Bridgeview and Verity IT services. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, and Struzik. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Lewis. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-76 APPROVE VERITY IT QUOTE #001749 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve Verity IT Quote #001749 for the Village of Bridgeview and Stadium network refresh to be performed by Verity IT services. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, and Struzik. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Lewis. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-77 ADJOURN TO EXECUTIVE SESSION 

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Higginson to adjourn to Executive Session to review previous Executive Session Minutes and Audio Tapes. 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, and Struzik. NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Lewis. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

The meeting ended at 7:06 p.m.
