1) Resolution # ___________: A resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a CDBG Program Subrecipient Agreement with Cook County for a Fire Hydrant Replacement Project (PY 2024, project number 2407-007).

This resolution authorizes the execution of the CDBG Program–Subrecipient Agreement for the replacement of non-functional fire hydrants throughout the city.

2) Motion to approve the Settlement Agreement and General Release between Garland Pennington and the City of Harvey.

This motion authorizes the agreed upon settlement for Garland Pennington v. City of Harvey (case 1:22-cv-03759) for payment 90 days from date of approval. 

3) Ordinance # ___________: An ordinance establishing administrative adjudication hearing costs and filing fees.

This ordinance amends the City Code Secs. 2-28-250; 2-30-100; 10-08-100 to establish hearing costs and filing fees for the City’s administrative adjudication hearing system.

4) Resolution # ___________: A resolution adopting the update of the cook county Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.

This resolution ensures the city is recognized by FEMA and remains eligible for Hazard Mitigation Grant funding.

5) Ordinance # ___________: An ordinance regarding the organization of the Police Department.

This ordinance amends the executive structure of the Police Department (rescinding the decision to eliminate Sergeants).

6) Motion to approve Memorandum of Understanding between the Cook County Sheriff’s Office and the Harvey Police Department Regarding the Sheriff’s Treatment Response Team.

This motion authorizes the collaboration between Harvey PD and the Cook County Sheriff’s office Treatment Response Team, and outlines procedures by which to engage in real time for individuals identified in need of mental health and substance abuse services.

7) Ordinance # ___________: An ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus personal property owned by the city of Harvey.

This ordinance authorizes the sale of an out of service 1979 E- One fire engine and a set of 2010 purchased extrication tools (cutter, spreader, power generator and ram).

8) Ordinance # ___________: An ordinance approving an amendment to the Zoning Map at 17010 S. Halsted from HC to LM District requested by Metra (RTA – Commuter Rail Division)

This ordinance rectifies split zoning to establish practical permitted uses for the building.

9) Ordinance # ___________: An ordinance regarding the storage of nuisance materials on private and public property.

This ordinance amends Harvey Code of Ordinances, ch. 8-24 to regulate outdoor storage of certain materials and items on public and private property in the best interest of city citizens health, safety and welfare.

10) Motion to Approve an Independent Contractor Agreement for Construction Services by and Between Anchor Heavy Civil, LLC and the City of Harvey (Robey Avenue Storm Pipe Replacement).

This motion authorizes the city to enter into an agreement with Anchor Heavy Civil, LLC., to replace the Robey Avenue Storm Pipe according to Bid Number 2024-07-01.
