Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met Oct. 2

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

Roll Call indicated the following Trustees absent: Trustee Baste. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and Human Resources Director Pannaralla.

2024-M-102 APPROVE MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 18, 2024

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of September 18, 2024. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-103 APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF MATTHEW LASAK

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the appointment of Matthew Lasak to the position of Bridgeview Firefighter Paramedic. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-104 APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF HEVER VALENZUELA MEJIA 

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the appointment of Hever Valenzuela Mejia to the position of part-time Bridgeview Police Officer. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1- Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-105 APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF MARK BRUSS

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve the appointment of Mark Bruss to the position of part-time Bridgeview Police Officer. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2024-M-106 APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 24-R-04 

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve Resolution No. 24-R-04; a resolution of the Village of Bridgeview adopting the updated Cook County Multijurisdictional Hazard Migration Plan. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5- Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Higginson to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of October 2, 2024.

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Struzik, and Lewis. 

NAYES: 0 

ABSENT: 1 - Trustee Baste.
