Patricia Bonk, a candidate for Illinois State House District 30, acknowledged the outcome of the General Election in a Facebook post dated November 5. "I appreciate all of you," she said.
"I want to thank everyone who supported me during this campaign," said Bonk, according to Facebook. "I appreciate all of you."
Official vote tallies from the Illinois Secretary of State’s office for the November 6 general election are not yet available. However, Ballotpedia reports that Bonk received 8,697 votes, accounting for 22.2% of the total, while incumbent Democrat William Davis garnered 30,426 votes or 77.8% of the 39,123 total votes cast.

According to Ballotpedia, Bonk ran an unopposed campaign in the March primary.
Bonk's platform focused on attracting industry back to Illinois through tax incentives and subsidies, preventing progressive taxes, and trimming the budget. She aimed to provide more training for cyber jobs and campaigned against nepotism and cronyism in government. Her goals included reducing government size and restructuring public pensions. Bonk also advocated for protecting and reinvesting in farms to increase output. In education, she supported school choice and restructuring education spending to allow parents to send children to private schools with public funding or vouchers. She called for an overhaul of Illinois’ public health system and improved senior care, including advocating for medical cures' right to try.
In a Facebook post on November 12, Bonk reflected on her electoral performance: "So I did get 3,000 more votes this election. There is hope." She encouraged others interested in running for State Representative in the next cycle to contact her for assistance.
Bonk is a registered nurse with experience as an emergency responder and firefighter for Lemont and Northwest Homer villages. She currently serves as a Trustee on the Midlothian Library Board and participates actively in the Midlothian policing committee. Additionally, she is a cancer survivor and Team Leader for the South Suburban Cancer Walk.
