John James Terry, aged 75, of Orland Park, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, after a battle with Parkinson's disease. Born in Dublin, Ireland, to Rose and Shawn Terry, John immigrated to the United States alongside his brother Jim in 1955. He attended Reavis High School and later graduated from Roosevelt University, having served in the US Navy as a Seabee. John met his wife, Deborah, through his cousin Margaret McDowell, and they married in 1978. He was a proud father to Kevin and Brian and cherished his time with his grandchildren, Audrey, Patrick, Rowan, and Finnegan John. John was a loving brother to Jim and Anne Cutler, brother-in-law to Janet Micheletto, and uncle to Sean, Diana, Andrew, Ryan, and Jamie. He was also a loving godson of Julia McIntosh.
In memory of John's dedication, donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Memorial Fund are appreciated.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20th, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Orland Park Funeral Home.
