Gloria May Murphy, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 16, 2024, at the age of 86. Born in Hammond, Indiana on May 29, 1938, she was the eldest child of Joseph and Helen Fialkowski. Gloria was known for her kindness and willingness to help others. She was a devoted wife to Edward Murphy for 63 years and a loving mother to Susan, Dennis (Cindy), and Thomas (Sandy). Gloria took pride in her role as a grandmother to Victoria, Matthew, Christopher, and Amanda, as well as her great-grandchild Noah. She was a loving sister of Robert (Henrietta) Fialkowski and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Gloria found joy in reading on her lanai in Florida, tending to her garden, cooking for her family, attending church services, and spending time with loved ones. Her family and friends will miss her warm heart, laughter, and love.

Visitation will take place on Sunday from 1-7 p.m. at Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, with a funeral on Monday starting at 9:00 a.m. and proceeding to St. Mary Mokena Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
