State Senator John Curran | Illinois State Senator
Illinois Senate Minority Leader John Curran has announced the start of his Fifth Annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive. The initiative aims to bring love and cheer to seniors in the 41st Senate District.
Senator Curran is inviting students, churches, scouting organizations, and other community groups to contribute homemade or store-bought cards. These will be distributed to assisted living centers, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities within the community.
"Valentines have the power to bring a little cheer to seniors who may be feeling restless or lonely and remind them that they are loved, cared for, and remembered," stated Senator Curran. "Please consider participating in this joyful celebration of our most experienced members of the community."
Contributions such as cards, poems, and well-wishes can be sent or delivered to Senator Curran’s District Office at 1011 State Street, Suite 205 in Lemont until February 7, 2024. Cards can be placed in a designated box inside the office during business hours from Monday through Friday or in a small mailbox outside during off-hours.
