Sylvia Marie Kabat, 92, of Carmel, Indiana, entered eternal life on January 11, 2025. She is survived by her children Bruce Kabat and Joyce Crowder, grandchildren Jenna O’Neil, Brad Scriff, Tim Griffin, and Adam Crowder, great-grandchildren Tommy O’Neil and Jimmy O’Neil, sisters-in-law Lorraine Gorski and Marge Lewandowski, brother-in-law Robert Kabat, cousins Ken Wzorek and Mary Ann Clairmont, and several nieces and nephews. Sylvia, preceded in death by her husband Frank Kabat, daughter Sharon Griffin, and daughter-in-law Roseanne Kabat, was known for her faith and dedication to her family, as well as her talent as a beautician.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Becvar & Son Funeral Home, Crestwood, Illinois. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 21st, with Chapel Prayers beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass at Incarnation Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Sylvia will be laid to rest beside her husband in Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City.
