Orland Park, IL - Cleofe "Oping" Balgemino (nee Gallinero), 82, whose life was a testament to love and dedication to her family and community, passed away and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her beloved husband Prospero Balgemino and lovingly remembered by her children Ana (Philip) Castillo, Salve (Allan) Santos, and Theresa (Raymond) Polidario.

Oping was a cherished grandmother to Miko, Marti, Mikaela, Sophia, Samantha, Thomas, and Tyler. She is also remembered fondly by her surviving sister Elisa (late Domingo) Bajamundi and surviving brothers Sor Lilia (O.P.) Gallinero, Aurora (Edgar) Monforte, and Samson (Rosalyn) Gallinero. She was a caring aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 3-9 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, starting at 9:45 a.m. and proceed from the funeral home to St. Francis of Assisi Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m. A live stream link for the Mass will be available prior to the service.

Oping will be laid to rest at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
