John B. Varney, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by his family. John is survived by his beloved wife Mari C. Varney, sons John C. Varney, Ronald L. Varney (married to Celeste L. Varney), and William D. Varney. Born to the late Carl and Delphine Varney, John is survived by his siblings Phyllis Fischer and Carl Ray Varney.

John enjoyed motorcycle rides and family video game sessions, bonding with loved ones. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Becvar & Son Funeral Home in Crestwood from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at Wheatland Township Cemetery in Naperville. Rest in peace, John B. Varney.
