Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met Feb. 5

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: 

Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Commander Case, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and Human Resources Director Pannaralla. 

2025-M-08 APPROVE MINUTES  OF JANUARY 15, 2025

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of January 15, 2025. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 5 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

ABSTAIN: 1 - Trustee Pinion. 

There being five affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-09 APPROVE APPOINTMENT

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve the appointment of part-time Police Officer. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-10 APPROVE APPOINTMENT 

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve the appointment of Fire Department Engineers. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-11 APPROVE PURCHASE

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve the purchase of Police radios. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-12 APPROVE SERVICE AGREEMENT

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve the 2025 Auditing Service Agreement between the Village of Bridgeview and GW & Associates. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2025-M-13 APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 25-04

Motion by Trustee Struzik and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve Ordinance No. 25-04; an ordinance of the Village of Bridgeview, Cook County, Illinois, providing for a rezoning and special use for a community center and bereavement center with a height variation for the Mosque Foundation Harlem Avenue Campus located South of 93rd Street and West of Harlem Avenue. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-14 ADJOURN 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Higginson to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of February 5, 2025. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pinion, Pticek, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

At this time, the Village Board heard public comments from Bridgeview resident, Amira Daoud, regarding Seat Geek Stadium. Next, the Village Board heard public comments from Bridgeview resident, Sadia Nawab, regarding Ramadan lights. 

The meeting ended at 7:12 p.m
