Dolores M. Zalewski, the devoted wife of the late Walter J. Zalewski, and daughter of the late Andrzej and Magdalenna (Machowska) Szczepanski, passed away. She was the loving mother of Diane (Ronald) Mestan, Robert (Catherine) Zalewski, Elizabeth (George) Gacic, Kenneth (Lilly) Zalewski, and Linda (Mick) Gonzalez. Dolores was the cherished grandmother of Lawrence (Laura) Mestan, Jeffrey (Megan) Pontarelli, Joseph (Jaime) Mestan, Bradley (Stephanie) Pontarelli, Scott (Beth) Mestan, Maria Gonzalez, Michael Gonzalez, and Natalie Zalewski. She was also the much-loved GG/Busia of Liam, Mia, Kaylee, Emma, Nolan, Mason, Allison, Alexis, and Lee. Dolores is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation to honor Dolores will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM, leading to the time of funeral prayers at 11:00 AM at Lack and Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills. The procession will then proceed to St. Patricia Church for Mass at 11:30 AM, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
