Sen. Curran and Rep. La Ha to host job fair with over 75 employers

State Senator John Curran | Illinois State Senator

Senator John Curran and State Representative Nicole La Ha are organizing a job fair on April 9, 2025, at the CORE Fitness Center in Lemont. The event, scheduled from 9:00 am to noon, is open to the public with free admission, including workshops.

“We are looking forward to connecting anyone interested in entering the workforce or looking for new career opportunities with local business leaders,” stated Curran. “We encourage anyone who is thinking about taking their life and work in a new direction to join us for this free event.”

The job fair will host over 75 employers. Attendees should wear business attire and bring their resumes for potential on-the-spot interviews.

“No matter where you are in your employment journey, this event will give you an idea of what opportunities are out there,” noted La Ha. “I hope anyone interested in growing their career will consider joining us and dozens of employers at this local fair.”

Throughout the event, three workshops will be available:

9:00 am – How to Navigate through the State of Illinois Hiring Process.

10:00 am – Selling Your Strengths & Enhancing Your Brand.

11:00 am – Inside Track on How to Interview with Confidence.

The list of participating employers includes notable organizations such as AT&T, Bridgestone Tire Operations, FedEx Freight, Illinois Department of Human Services, and UPS. Many others will also be present at the job fair to recruit for various positions.
