John "Jack" Haney, 95, of Calumet City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025. A lifelong resident, John served in the U.S. Army before working at Illinois Bell Telephone Co. for 33 years. He was a devoted husband to Genevieve for 69 years and is survived by his five children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Jesus Shepherd of Souls in Calumet City, with interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations serving individuals with intellectual needs, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or the National Law Enforcement Memorial. John will be dearly missed.
