Henry “Hank” Gory, affectionately known as “Mr. Tax,” passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, wit, and love for his Chicago community. Survived by his wife Deb, children Kate, Ryan, Elizabeth, and Julia, and grandchildren Mason, Nolan, Maxwell, Amelia Taylor, and Ginny Gory Rathert, Hank was known for his boundless love, booming voice, and unforgettable stories. He is also survived by brothers Thomas, Michael, and James Gory. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Mary Gory, and brother John, Hank leaves a mark on all who knew him. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home in Chicago Ridge, with the funeral service on Saturday at St. Linus Church in Oak Lawn.
