Emily Marie Cunningham Remembered for Love of Family and Generous Spirit

Emily Marie Cunningham, born in Chicago in 1935, built a life centered around family, community, and creativity. She married Donald Cunningham in 1960, raising three children and later moving to Homer Glen, where she found joy in the outdoors and hosting gatherings. Emily was known for her talent in baking exquisite wedding cakes, quilting, gardening, and her love of travel.

Active in St. Cyril & Methodius Parish, Emily shared her beautiful voice in the choir and embraced the close-knit community. She and Don were blessed with nine grandchildren, whom they cherished attending events and celebrations, instilling the value of education in them.

Emily's gift of bringing people together, her dedication to family, and her kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, and remembered fondly by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church or a charity of choice. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Markiewicz Funeral Home in Lemont, with funeral services on Monday at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Emily Marie Cunningham's legacy of love, creativity, and generosity will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched.
